A sense of place.
A place to connect.

An independent café in the heart of the valley. For those who live here, and those discovering it.

Chloé, Baptiste
and a memory
of toast.

Chloé and Baptiste SANDRA founded Café Tartine in December 2024. Chloé, who comes from the valley, and Baptiste share the wish for a café where you can drop in for breakfast or sit down to enjoy a tartine.

Café Tartine began with a wish to bring back the toast our grandmothers made: a generous slice of country bread, good ingredients and the pleasure of sharing. That memory guides our seasonal recipes and the artisans and producers we work with.

Bread. Ingredients. Care.

Made here.
With care.

Artisan country bread, recipes that follow the seasons, and a kitchen open to the café. It starts with the ingredients and comes together on the plate.

In autumn, Reblochon meets roasted potatoes, Brie de Meaux meets pear, and tofu meets maple syrup. Generous combinations, with vegetarian and vegan options too.

Chamonix, simply

Here, we take time
to look up.

Peaks at the end of the street, snowy days, terraces filling up. The café follows the rhythm of Chamonix and the people passing through.

A break before heading out again, or simply the pleasure of staying a little longer.
